Father and Mentors: My Daddy – By Angela Evans (Daughter of the late Apostle Frederick K.C. Price) Part -1

Frederick K. C. Price was an American pastor and author of over 50 books on the Holy Spirit, prosperity, healing, and faith.

Price is best known for serving as founding pastor of Los Angeles’ Crenshaw Christian Center as well as being the founder of the Fellowship of International Christian Word of Faith Ministries.

Born on January 3, 1932, in Santa Monica, CA.

Frederick received an honorary Divinity degree from Oral Roberts University.  From 1955 to 1957, Dr. Price served as an assistant pastor in a Baptist church. From 1957 to 1959, Price pastored an African Methodist Episcopal church in Val Verde, California.  In 1965, Dr. Price joined the Christian and Missionary Alliance at West Washington Community Church.  In 1973, he founded Crenshaw Christian Center in L.A. and built an international ministry resulting in multiple schools and thousands of members.

He was known on his television broadcast reminding listeners, ‘For we walk by faith and not by sight’  straight out of the Word of God.

A Good Word For You Today…A Father’s Perspective!!

One day a man questioned God about why he was not seeing the answer to his prayer.  He was very angry at God and sat in his room having an intense conversation with God.  God are you there?  I have prayed and you have not come through and answered me?  Do you really exist?

Suddenly the man was interrupted by his five year son who was playing next to him.  ‘Daddy, the boy replied, please fix my toy truck.’  The boy handed the toy to his father and continued to play with the rest of his toys.  Immediately the father received a revelation and answer from God.

The man had not given the problem that he faced over to God and left it there for God to answer.  Instead he bugged and nagged God everyday for answers that he did not see.  The man realized at that moment that he should have been thanking God everyday for what he was hoping for along with corresponding action.  Instead he had stressed himself out over a matter that he had not control.

His 5 year son had showed him the art of trusting his father and continuing on playing with his toys because he had complete confidence that his dad would fix the broken toy.

  • Today how have you thanked God for answers to prayers regarding your children?

  • When they come around you do you demonstrate the love of God or are you full of sermons?

  • Have you lowered your standards to please them instead of lowering your expectations of perfection due to your pride?

  • Do you remember that you were once a novice and that you are growing in some areas of your life?

As a man thinks in the deepest part of himself, he will say it with his/her mouth and they soon have what they have been saying, believing and acting upon.  I can either build, or tear down with my own mouth. That’s how powerful of a gift my words are.

How will you use your mouth today?

Fathers & Mentors Needed Today: Are you a WOKE, IGNORANT or CLOSET CHRISTIAN? Part 2

Where?

I’m glad you ask!

  1. How does a man stay on the right track in a wrong that call’s right wrong and wrong right?  Here are the instructions that I got bro….

How shall a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed and keeping watch [on himself] according to Your word [conforming his life to it].–Psalm 119:9

Also, we are warned in scripture about something we are presently suffering from today in our home, families, communities and culture.  Check this out!  My bible states:

  1. According to Pastor Tony Evans ‘The Bible teaches that the more God is marginalized in culture, the worse things get. God works through biblically-committed churches to address the spiritual forces at work in the world.

It is time for the Church to join together in unity to lead the way in transforming our communities and our land by addressing the spiritual needs that lie at the root of our cultural, societal decay.

The Bible speaks about something that would happen today and now we are seeing this horror in our society.  It says, ‘And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, We will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel: only let us be called by thy name, to take away our reproach. [Isaiah 4:1]…..my translation….

‘Today a woman or man at the church will say, let’s sleep around with multiple partners (calling ourselves ‘FRIENDS WITH BENEFITS’ other than their wife or husband.  Let’s live together outside of the covenant of a biblical marriage like the heathens do.  And what’s yours is mine and what’s mine will be mine (but this is not called pimping because that is not politically correct to say because we are under GRACE).  Also I want your sperm but not your name because then people may think that you OWN me and today I live my own life according to my own rules, but I include god asking him to bless us.’

Today let’s heed the word of scripture that states:  “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.  [Proverbs 14:34] and
Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil, who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness”

Breaking news….

In what is being perceived as a woke move, Apple has released ‘pregnant man’, ‘pregnant person’ and other gender-neutral emojis to all iPhone users following iOS 15.4 update.

In a letter to a young man that was trained by Paul in the scriptures he encourages him to instruct the different age and gender groups in the church.  These principles still apply today for our learn and NOT for great stories to debate about.  Remember the Holy Spirit will give you wisdom FOR YOUR PARTICULAR situation when you ask HIM.

Here are some things that I found when studying what the mentor spoke to the mentee:

First he tells Titus:

  1. But as for you, teach what accords with sound doctrine” (Tit. 2:1)
  2. Then he gives Titus instructions on how to teach the older men, older women, younger women, and then younger men in the church at Crete
  3. For the young guys, he focuses the younger men to be self-controlled NOT controlled by their passions, sexual lust or a wild n’ out lifestyle.

Paul who was a ‘mature man’  (notice I DID NOT SAY OLDER) speaks from experience.  Paul knew young men – they traveled with him constantly in his ministry!

Guys like Aristarchus, Barnabas, Epaphras, Gaius, Jason, John Mark, Lucius, Luke, Onesimus, Silas, Sosipater, Timothy, Titus himself, Trophimus were all trained and shared life with Paul.  There was one thing Paul had learned in dealing with young men that he wanted to make sure Titus did not forget. Demonstrating and showing young men to exercise self-control in every area of their life.  If you are going to have great victory one must learn how to train like an athlete, work hard like a farmer, and fight like a solider.

Life will always bring you test; however, it is also war.  War against our minds, emotions, families and even stereotypes that we have allowed others to place on us.  Self-control is really about bringing our whole life under the Holy Spirit’s control so that God will get the glory out of every area of our life. It is not the outward result of self-repression but rather the inward result of the Spirit’s work in us with us daily cooperating with the process that he has instructed us in this word to do.

A Good Word For You Today….What Was The Lesson I Learned??

Martin Luther King, Jr. said.. “But it really doesn’t matter with me now, because I’ve been to the mountaintop … I’ve seen the Promised Land. I may not get there with you. But I want you to know tonight, that we, as a people, will get to the Promised Land”

Have you ever said those words silently to yourself about a situation in your life?  ‘it really doesn’t matter with me now’

Let me help you here…

–after getting passed over AGAIN for the promotion that you should have received 9 years ago

–after getting frustrated for the last time when your request(s) has been ignored
Or
–when you have decided to stop dragging your feet on the matter and make that next step you should’ve a long time ago did

Did this man give up?  No!

Did he quit?  No

What happened?

I am glad you asked!

He LEARNED that he had finished his race in that particular area of his life.  Sometimes we need to stop crying over the things that have to come to an end in our life.  It may be a:

— Relationship
–Career
Or
–The death of a parent who I knew would die one day, but was shocked when I looked up and could not hear their voice on the phone any more, look them in the face but I could only hear their voice on their answering machine where they once lived..

My prayer is like that of a man name David who said these words in my Bible about himself when he prayed….

Vindicate (defend) me, LORD, because I have lived with integrity and have trusted in the LORD without wavering.  [Psalm 26:1]

A Good Word For You Today….What Does Your Faith Look Like??? Can Your Family See It?

What does your faith look like if I asked you?  I find that many people have no clue of how to answer this question when asked.  Let me ask it another way, what has your faith produced that I would be able to see?  You see many say they have faith but they have no evidence nor can they share what THEY HAVE done to obtain what they were hoping for.
When are you going to put your faith in action?  Do you not have confidence in your own words or are the words of others more IMPACTFUL in your life than yours.  God is waiting for you to STOP calling him a liar by your actions and your mouth that contradicts his word.
Realize this:  If God showed us the whole journey, we’d never take the first step.
Intentionally today:
Conduct your life by faith and not by sight
Realize for the believer that faith is life
REPENT!

A Good Word For You Today..How do you hear??

Jesus made a very interesting statement one day…he said, “Be careful, then, how you listen; because those who have something will be given more, but whoever has nothing will have taken away from them even the little they think they have.”

Or

let’s put it this way….’Therefore, take care how you listen. For whoever has, more will be given to him; and whoever does not have, even what he thinks he has will be taken away from him.”

Many times we hear the words that come out of the mouth of a person and walk away upset, confused, offended or encouraged to continue in your journey of this life.  However, have you ever taken the time to ask yourself, ‘why have I/we allowed our emotions to determine our reaction to what we just heard?  Many times we are still reacting to someone over what was said to us directly or what we heard many years ago.

If you desire to grow up then you must learn and make a choice today to never REACT but RESPOND to what you hear.  There is a big difference between the two.  When I REACT I allow my emotions to take over and govern my behavior.  By doing this it may be the cause and reason why my health, relationships and money are the way they are.

When I RESPOND I ask questions such as, why, when, why, where, how, or what.  I take time to reflect on my state of mind at that time and examine what my motive was and my emotions during that period.  Why would you ask a question like why?

I’m glad you ask:  When I ask why, I am meditating in my mind (NOT WITH OTHERS) why did I react the way I did, did I feel disrespected or was I to proud and did not like the correction that I got at the time, did I have respect for the person and did I show respect even if they were not, and finally did I miss the ‘message’ that was said when none of my fake friends nor enemies would share with me why my life was the way it is today?

Today, pay attention to how you listen
Practice random acts of kindness
and Intentionally, see yourself the way your creator sees you.  Repent and make a change today!
